Design & estimate
We measure, agree the layout and the finishes, and put an itemized price and a start date in writing. Permits are pulled before anything is touched.

Demolition & rough-in
Old cabinets and tile come out, plumbing and electrical are re-run to the new layout, and the county inspects the rough-in before we close the walls.

Install & finish
Cabinets, countertops, tile, fixtures and lighting go in. We clean the site, run the final inspection and walk the finished kitchen with you.
How the work runs
What is involved in a kitchen remodel
A kitchen brings in more trades than any other room in a house, and the order they work in is what decides the schedule.
Demolition comes first, and it is usually where the surprises are. Old supply lines, a subfloor that has been wet, wiring that predates the current code. In houses built before the 1980s at least one of those turns up more often than not. We flag the likely ones at the estimate so it is not the first time you are hearing about it.
Then the rough-in. Supply, drain and vent get re-run to the new layout and circuits get pulled for the range, dishwasher, disposal and the counter receptacles that code requires. The county inspects before anything is closed up.
Cabinets are set to a level line and shimmed to it. Countertops get templated after the boxes are in and not before, which is why the stone takes as long as it does. Tile, fixtures and lighting follow, then a walkthrough with you and the final inspection.

One job, start to finish
I met with a few different kitchen consultants before deciding who to work with. Matt from Duranco was always available and really stood out from the beginning. He and team planned the kitchen very clearly, stayed within our budget, came out to take all the measurements, and went over all the details with us.
We had a few questions during the process, but Matt was always there to answer them, even on weekends. The kitchen took about a month to make, and everything was delivered and installed on time.
We did have one small issue because a drawer handle was missing. Customer service couldn’t resolve it right away, but once Matt found out about it, he took care of it quickly.
